is Continuous Care Living? |
Anthem is the Southern Highlands’ first
Continuous Care Retirement Community, (CCRC).
Anthem allows you to
live as independently as you wish in your own apartment
whilst providing access to higher
levels of care and services should you require them.
Continuous Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) have existed in America
for
many years but they are relatively new to Australia.
Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) are:
- Designed as communities where people live longer, healthier,
and more actively engaged lives.
- Communities that provide seniors with a sense of independence.
- The combination of several levels of health care within
a single community setting, and they offer programs
and activities emphasising social involvement
and community life.
Research has shown that people living in CCRCs
have:
- Improved health due to more active approach
to health care involving a variety of services
being offered.
Continuous Care Retirement Communities:
- Promote active lifestyles
- Support social involvement
- Ensure proper medical care
- Provide good nutrition
- Encourage overall wellness
